I am sold on these Esox rods. They
are very light but have the backbone to set the hook hard. I
have a 7' BJ that I use for flipping a pig-n-jig. It is awesome.
Even on the toughest days, I can feel that initial hit all the
way to the rod butt. And when it is time to set the hook, you
can slam that hook as hard as you want. The Medium-Heavy rod
will take it time and time again.
The 6' 6" CD is a great all-around bait caster. The thing you
will notice about these rods is that they are so light, yet
properly balanced to give you the comfort all day. But don't let
the light weight fool you, when you need the power, it is there.
You would expect to pay a lot more for this type of quality. In
the picture below you will see one of 5 Smallies that I caught
with this rod a couple of weeks ago.

The 5' 6" CE is another rod for those of you that like to throw
crankbaits around docks, under overhanging trees, and into other
tight places. The pistol grip is perfect for setting the hook
one-handed.
As you can tell, I think these Esox rods are top quality. Even
if you just fish once in a while, this is the rod to get. For
you guys that are like me and fish several times a week and
tournaments on weekends, Esox rods are a must for your rod
locker. Their Rod Sponsorship program seems very generous
too. Check
it out.
