Quik-Cull |

Whenever I fish a tournament, I like to use my on board scale to assist me with culling of smaller fish. My personal scale of choice is the Cul-M-Rite XL and it works great. It is extremely accurate and reads in 1/100ths of pounds, so there is really no guesswork involved, making culling quick and easy. Until now, I used the normal styrofoam floats with colored beads on them to mark each fish after weighing it. These have a hook/snap which has to be opened then inserted into the fish's jaw, and closed again. Recently I decided to try the new Quik-Cull system from Plasti-Clip, and it worked great. After weighing my fish, I simply squeezed the handle on the clip, inserted it onto the fish's lower jaw, and released. That's it. Quick and simple, and the best part is that it does not harm the fish in any way. Another great feature is the fact that each color is marked by a nice long piece of nylon rope, which is a different color. When it comes time to cull, it is easy to see which one you need, immediately, without having to pull up all the floats to check the color of the beads on them. The system comes complete with 6 colored ropes with quik-clips attached, and it is very affordable. If you are looking for a fast, simple method to assist you with your tournament fishing, I highly recommend you give these a try. I think you will be impressed.
