-
Bounce your crank bait off things so it is
erratic. Bounce it off the bottom.
-
Use erratic, stop and go or pause and jerk
retrieves. Try different things.
-
Do not give your crank bait long pauses. Bass
can look at it and say no thanks. Make the bass react.
-
Find the depth bass are holding by throwing
a deep running crank bait shallow and bouncing it off the
bottom out to deep water.
-
Make your crank bait easy for the bass to
find by using holographic colors. They have more flash like
a bait fish.
-
Try bright colors when the light is low. Go
to more natural colors when there is more light.
-
When fishing brush piles or rocks, use a crank
bait that will float up from snags. When your bait snags,
do not pull the line tight. That causes it to snag tighter.
Give it slack line and let it float up.
-
Use Suspend Dots to make crank baits float
up more slowly or even suspend. Put the Dots under the bill.
